Off-Campus Program
(High School-based)

Sacramento State recognizes that there is some overlap between advanced high school curriculum and university work. Some high school classes are parallel to Sacramento State classes, and successful students deserve recognition for their advanced work. Through the ACE program, students have the opportunity to earn university credits for their achievement during the regular high school day.

• HIGH SCHOOLS - Selected high schools in the Sacramento State service area have been approved to offer ACE classes at their school sites (click below where it says "ACE Catalog" to download a sample of the collaboratively-approved courses). These classes have met the university-level content and standards and have demonstrated an alignment between Sacramento State and high school offerings. To participate in the program, a high school submits a request to ACE containing a description of each course to be considered, a syllabus for the class(es), and a resumé for the course instructor (please see TEACHERS below). The ACE program then shares these materials with the appropriate Sac State department faculty to begin the review and alignment process. A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) records the mutual agreements regarding offering university course credits to high school students.
