University Furlough Program

Due to the unprecedented State budget situation, the California State University implemented a systemwide employee furlough program in late July, 2009. Most Sacramento State employees will begin taking furlough days in August.

Under current plans, the furlough program will continue through June 30, 2010.

Furlough Schedule

Scheduling for the furlough program is still underway. The campus has proposed 16 fixed furlough days; fixed days are dates when most employees would be furoughed on the same day. The remaining 8 furlough days will be scheduled flexibly within the various departments and offices on campus.
