The Curriculum and Instruction MA in
Education with a Professional Development
emphasis is a combination online/face-toface
MA program. Students meet 75%
online and 25% face-to-face.
The heart of this program is its reliance
upon building a strong cohort community.
The program begins with a mandatory three
day retreat at Sacramento State University
that allows students and faculty to get to
know each other. The retreat introduces
students to the online technologies used in
the program, explores effective online and
face-to-face communication skills, and
marks the beginning of the first semester’s coursework.
