Student Self Assessment for Human Subjects Review

Welcome,

This site is designed to help students determine what is required for a human subjects review proposal in the Teacher Education Department at Sacramento State University. Completion of this self assessment requires 15-20 minutes.

Federal law and university policies require that all research done at Sacramento State undergo a screening process to insure that the rights of human subjects are protected. This site will provide you with important information about what will be required for your study and how to prepare for your human subjects review proposal.

Please Note:

1. This assessment is the first step in planning for your Human Subjects Review Proposal. Once you have assessed your human subjects proposal needs, go to your faculty advisor for verification and further guidance before going any further with your application.

2. All research must be reviewed by the EDTE Human Subjects Review Committee prior to the implementation of your research. To avoid costly delays and to complete your research on time, please be sure to review and adhere to the EDTE Human Subjects Review Proposal Submission Schedule.
