Students are required to complete at least half their field study hours at a Designated Site. No more than half of field study hours can be gained from students' workplace with permission from students' Academic Advisor. Such placement will be considered a Specialization Site.

Alliance for Excellence schools include Edison Elementary School , El Camino High School, Greer Elementary School , Jonas Salk Middle School and Howe Elementary School. The partnership between the Alliance for Excellence and Sac State provides counseling services to selected schools on the west end of SJUSD. The schools have a shared vision of educational excellence with the primary goal of providing powerful learning opportunities for ALL preschool through adult learners in the five school attendance areas. Guidelines: Students will provide individual and group counseling to students at the school under supervision of the school counselor at the respective school. 2. Associated Family Therapy for Effective Recovery (AFTER) 5777 Madison Ave. Suite 240, Sacramento , CA 95841 Contact person Jeanette Phelan, Clinical Director AFTER is a private non-profit organization dedicated to providing outpatient counseling for children, adolescents, individuals, couples and families. AFTER offers treatment programs for sexual abuse, physical abuse, domestic violence, alcohol abuse, chemical dependency, gay and lesbian issues, post-traumatic stress, couples issues, parent-child relationships, parent-teen conflicts, divorce and remarriage, step-family issues and family communication. Other clinical services offered include supervised visitation, victim witness program, pediatric psychiatric and family reunification services. Guidelines: MFCC students will primarily work with adolescent and adult sexual offenders. Experience will include running groups and providing individual therapy. Students will shadow and conduct co-therapy with more experienced clinicians prior to carrying their own caseload. Students are required to commit 2 consecutive academic semesters. Programs SADVC provides counseling for adults and children on the issues of sexual assault and domestic violence through both individual and group therapy. SADVC has served Yolo County since 1977 and offers many services to the community in addition to therapeutic intervention. A 24-hour crisis line, the Wallace Vanucci Shelter for domestic violence victims, Alternatives to Violence program, CARE Team (Concerned Advocates Responding to Emergencies), DVRT (Domestic Violence Response Team, Legal Advocacy Program, and Community Education and Outreach Programs round out SADVC's contribution to Yolo County. 16. Women Escaping a Violent Environment, Inc.
