BCLAD Test Preparation: Latino Ethnohistory
How can I study for it?
There is a Latino Ethnohistory Test Study Guide.
What are the parts of the Ethnohistory test prepared by BMED?
The ethnohistory test has 30 multiple choice questions followed by two paragraph-long essays. You get to choose which topics to write on from several possibilities. This test is two hours long.
How long does each part last?
The test is self-paced. This means that you have as many minutes as you need to complete each part, for a total of 2 hours. We encourage you to start writing the essays after you are done with the multiple choice part.
How are the essays scored?
The essay is scored holistically by at least two faculty members. Please see the rubric in the Latino Ethnohistory Test Study Guide.
Who tends to pass the ethnohistory test?
Students who took ethnic studies courses on Latino culture and history, and who reviewed those subjects prior to the test. Please see our study guide for more details. This does not mean that others cannnot pass, it only reflects the profile of the students who usually pass the language test.
