BCLAD Test: What if I Don't Pass?

I didn't pass. Can I take the test more than once in a semester?

No, we don't have the resources to give the test more than once each semester.

Can I get another chance if I don't pass during my last semester?

No. New laws say you must be done with your BCLAD requirements by the time you are done with the program, so you must pass the test during your last semester in order to obtain a BCLAD.

Will I graduate if I don’t pass?

This test is one of the requirements for completion of a BCLAD credential. Because passing the test is not a requirement for a CLAD credential, not passing will not prevent you from graduating with a CLAD credential.

I can’t remember the parts I didn’t pass. All I know is that I need to take some parts again.

On the test day we will look you up in our lists, then tell you the parts you need to take.

What happens if I don’t pass some of the parts?

You must pass all parts to pass the test. If you don’t pass some parts, you won’t have to take the entire test again, only the parts you didn’t pass.

I didn't pass the first time. What can I do?

The best thing is to schedule an appointment early on with the faculty in charge of administering the test, to pinpoint areas you may need to focus on in your review.
