Super Saturday Program

During the regular school year, ATS has offered classes over four consecutive Saturdays. Usually held in the spring (March or April), these classes offered an introduction to ATS. At this time, no additional Saturday classes are being scheduled.

Classes
Super Saturday classes have generally been between 10 and 16 hours in total duration (four hours per day for four days).

Course offerings have included:

  • Anatomy
  • Cartooning: Anime and Manga
  • Criminal and Constitutional Law
  • Hero's Quest: Adventures in Creative Writing
  • Improv and Comedy
  • Power Writing
  • Study Strategies

Eligibility Requirements
As with ATS summer classes, Super Saturday classes were designed for sixth through ninth graders. Students in those grades who had taken the ATS Qualifying Exam, the College Ability Test, were eligible for Super Saturday classes.

Why Take Saturday Classes?

Many students in year round schools, or who have extensive summer commitments, attended the ATS Super Saturday program as a way of participating in the ATS experience.
